Allan Hall and Big Hill Beach Cottages placed third at 2021 Beecraft SurfAid Cup

Over $10k Raised by Our Team for SurfAid

Allan Hall and Big Hill Beach Cottages placed third at the 2021 Beecraft SurfAid Cup

It was not a great beach day but we still had a fantastic time competing for the 7th year in a row at the annual Beecraft SurfAid Cup, held at Manly Beach last Friday 26 November, raising vital funds for SurfAid’s Mother and Child Health Programmes.

This year, Allan Hall again joined forces with Big Hill Beach Cottages and our formidable combined line-up placed third in a hotly contested surfing final.

The team consisted of Greg Anderson and Jake Somerville surfing for Allan Hall, Rob Bain surfing for Big Hill Beach Cottages plus long-time associate of Allan Hall, Ben Hamilton.

Through our outstanding fundraising, we were able to pick well known professional surfer Matt Wilkinson who was volunteering his expertise in honour of the event and certainly added to our team’s success.

The day is certainly about surfing to raise awareness, and we are extremely proud of our fundraising efforts this year, for which our team raised $10,200 for SurfAid’s Mother & Child Health Programmes thanks to our clients and friends.

Overall fundraising efforts from all teams involved in the 2021 SurfAid Cup came to an incredible total of $146,235. We would like to thank everyone involved in this year’s competition, and we would especially like to thank those who donated to our team and supported us on the day!

Allan Hall Raising Vital Funds in September

Our team at Allan Hall Business Advisors took part in September, raising vital funds for the Cerebral Palsy Alliance.

This year, we are proud to announce that our team took over 6 million steps and raised $1,500 for the Cerebral Palsy Alliance.

Despite the average office worker only taking 3,000 steps a day, Steptember challenged our team at Allan Hall to take 10,000 steps a day from the 1st of September until the 28th of September – that’s 28 days straight! As a fundamental driver to promote health and well-being in the workplace, Steptember, has encouraged over 1,500 corporations in Australia to participate in this challenge and our team at Allan Hall is proud to contribute to this cause. As well as increasing our physical activity and movement, Steptember aims to raise donations for people living with cerebral palsy, in which every dollar raised will go towards rehabilitation, equipment, research and more. Despite Steptember being over for 2020, it’s not too late to sponsor an organisation, colleague, friend or family member. To donate to the Cerebral Palsy Alliance, please click here. At Allan Hall Business Advisors, we believe that thriving employees translates to a thriving business, which translates back to thriving employees… and so the cycle continues. The Steptember challenge is an initiative that is organised by our dedicated THRIVE well-being committee, encouraging our staff to get involved, stay active and smash out our 10,000 steps a day for the month of September. The THRIVE committee continue to inspire our team at Allan Hall Business Advisors to lead healthy, mindful and happy lives and stay connected to our community. Jersey Day 2019 at Allan Hall Business Advisors

Jersey Day 2019 at Allan Hall Business Advisors

Allan Hall Business Advisors supports Jersey Day 2019

Last Friday the 30th of August, Allan Hall Business Advisors participated in Jersey Day,  supporting the DONATE LIFE network for organ and tissue donation.

For those who might not know, Jersey Day was launched in 2015 and was inspired by the story of Nathan Gremmo whose life was tragically lost when he was knocked down by a car at the age of 13. Generous to the end, Nathan Gremmo became an organ donor, his last and most amazing gift was to save the lives of six people, including five young adults and a baby. Jersey Day is not about fundraising, but simply all about awareness – the intention is to fill online conversations with positive images and stories that show support for this cause. Belinda Burne, partner at Allan Hall Business Advisors chose the Donate Life network as a charity for AHBA to show continued support. Belinda is extremely passionate about this cause and has inspired our team at Allan Hall to get behind this amazing charity, wear our jerseys and raise awareness within the community. The team at Allan Hall wore their favourite jerseys in support of the Donate Life network and its safe to say there was a sea of maroon and white, with the Sea Eagles fans dominating the jersey tally!
